A recent WirelessHART Bootcamp presented by the FieldComm Group™ featured Perpetua thermoelectric energy harvesters in a session devoted to WirelessHART peripherals.

Andy Zaremba, Perpetua’s Strategic Partnerships VP, presented an overview of energy harvesting and Perpetua products to support expanded deployment of Wireless HART devices.

The session included information on WirelessHART network adapters used to provide WirelessHART data communications for devices, which have traditionally relied on wired communications using HART or FOUNDATION Fieldbus protocols. Participants learned that in addition to transforming the data communications of traditional instrumentation to wireless, the devices can be powered using co-located energy harvesters.
