Underwriter Laboratories has renewed Perpetua Power Source Technologies’ certification for EN ISO/IEC 80079-34:2011, Explosive atmospheres – Part 34: Application of quality systems for equipment manufacture (IECEx QAR US/UL/QAR14.0009). The certification specifies particular requirements and information for establishing and maintaining a quality system to manufacture Ex equipment, which includes Perpetua’s Power Pucks®. Ex areas are a part of almost every industry, from transport, food production, and textiles to petroleum and mining. IECEx covers the broad spectrum of devices, systems and services used in explosive environments, and verify their conformity to International Standards. The IECEx certification is in addition to Perpetua’s ISO 9001:2008 certification.
