Emerson and Perpetua expand business relationship

Emerson Electric and Perpetua have agreed to terms formalizing an expanded business relationship that strengthens and deepens the relationship between the two companies.

Perpetua thermoelectric energy harvester Power Pucks® convert heat flow from temperature differences commonly found in industrial process environments directly into electricity. Power Pucks help customers by providing long-life power and alleviating concerns about the battery life of wireless transmitters. Perpetua’s intrinsically safe products are designed for Emerson wireless transmitters and allow them to operate at their maximum update rate for the life of the transmitter without battery replacement.

“Having worked with many customers to bring them the benefits of energy harvesting for their Emerson wireless transmitters, we are pleased about the prospects of a larger relationship with Emerson,” said R. Jon Hofmeister, President of Perpetua. “Our goal is to greatly expand the number of customers who will be able to secure the benefits of Emerson wireless technology powered with Perpetua energy harvesters. This agreement is an important step forward.”
