Perpetua announces an Energy Harvester for use with Honeywell XYR6000 OneWireless transmitters

Perpetua Power has introduced an Energy Harvester solution for use with the popular Honeywell XYR6000 transmitters. Using the widely available heat sources found in industrial environments, Power Pucks fully power XYR6000 series transmitters at their maximum update rates without the need for battery replacements for the life of the transmitter. Honeywell customers can now get the full benefits of lower wireless installation costs and decreased commissioning time versus wired alternatives without incurring battery maintenance expenses. The solution is certified intrinsically safe and can be deployed in all XYR6000 transmitter environments.

Perpetua President R. Jon Hofmeister noted, “We are excited about adding Honeywell XYR6000 transmitters to our list of supported transmitters. Powering wireless industrial transmitters with our thermoelectric energy harvesters addresses a key customer objection about batteries and expands the environments where wireless is the best choice.”

The Honeywell solution consists of a Power Puck energy harvester, an Intelligent Power Module which provides electrical interface from the harvester to the wireless transmitter and battery back-up, and a 6 meter cable. For more information see
